Max Bellhouse's Motel Mood for 'Vogue Italia'

A "Mix of Sexy and Military" is an apropos title for a Vogue Italia spread set in a roadside Americana motel. Max Bellhouse production design sees claustrophobic rooms populated by lattice carpet, midcentury-esque furniture, and walls (and ceilings) of mirrors. It's not necessarily seedy, rather more sultry and lusciously lascivious. Shot by Emma Summerton, the fashion follows suit with masked maidens and fedora-wearing suitors holding court.
