Fiona Apple Idles with Mark Romanek for 'V'

Fiona Apple has made a triumphant return to music this year thanks in part to her new album, The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do. Mouthful of lyricism aside, she continues to push the parameters of popular music while remaining ethereal both literally and figuratively. Harkening her beginnings, V magazine's latest issue reunites Apple with her "Criminal" music video director, Mark Romanek, in a black and white editorial featuring makeup by Wendy Rowe.
